This 2-day symposium will bring together educators from different institutions and organizations that teach Spanish in Ireland to host as many teachers/professionals/academics of Spanish as possible in one place. Aware of the challenges that the changing educational sector is experiencing, the aim of this event is to create a friendly space where teachers of Spanish can meet regardless of sector. Thus, we are focusing on promoting professional collaboration, networking and dialogue on current contemporary issues in Spanish teaching (i.e., students’ learning differences, teaching languages online, and other aspects of Spanish teaching and learning) as well as promoting new directions and perspectives. Thus, the content of the symposium is all-encompassing.

Este Simposio de dos días tiene como objetivo acercar a profesionales de la enseñanza de español en Irlanda de diferentes instituciones y organizaciones, así como reunir el máximo de profesores y académicos del español en el mismo lugar. A vista del gran número de retos al que se enfrenta el sistema educativo en estos días, el fin de este evento es crear un espacio colaborativo y amigable donde profesionales de la enseñanza del español puedan reunirse sin importar el sector. Así mismo, nuestro enfoque es promover la colaboración y el diálogo sobre factores actuales de la enseñanza del español en Irlanda (como por ejemplo, estudiantes con diferencia de aprendizaje, la enseñanza del español en línea, y otros aspectos de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del español), además de promover e investigar nuevas direcciones y perspectivas. Dicho esto, el contenido de este simposio abarca varias temáticas.
